Contém pormenorizadas referências ao Infante D. Henrique, Vasco da Gama, Afonso de Albuquerque, D. João de Castro, numerosas referências a Camões, com transcrição de passagens dos Lusíadas. Os capítulos finais incluem breves referências ao Império Português no Século XVIII, aos costumes, e comportamentos do habitantes da Índia, vistos de forma negativa, biografias do fundador e do último monarca da dinastia Mogol e, por fim, uma nota sobre a rota da Europa para a Índia atrvés do Suez com um calculo dos custos da construção do canal.
