4to., pp.319, blue cloth, gilt, b/w plates and figures, b/w fold-out figures; ownership autograph to front free endpaper, foxing to upper edge and lightly to fore-edge, lower margin of front board significantly knocked with a 2cm closed tear to foot of spine, with creasing to lower margin of endpaper and title page and lightly to contents pages and first chapter, a good copy, in a good price-clipped dust-jacket, which is lightly rubbed and creased to spine and extremities, with 2cm piece missing to foot of spine and light wear to upper corners.
