Spine sunned and titles faded. Rear hinge is damaged, with the webbing showing through the paper. The front hinge is weak, but intact. Photo of Evans is pasted to the front endpaper, perhaps a piece of the dustjacket, and a previous owner's bookplate is on the facing endpage. A small snip of paper with the US Naval Institute insignia is laid in at front. Foxing to the title page, but not throughout the book. A complete, readable copy, but with structural flaws and much wear. 495 pp., indexed, 10 black & white plates.
