Volumes 1, 3-5 of the Worterbuch are bound in a library style red buckram with the title, author, and corresponding volume of the Belegstellen at the back, and with the monogram of Carleton T. Hodge at the base of the spines. Volume 2 of the Worterbuch is bound in red buckram, with the two parts of the Belegstellen separate in their original wrappers (owing to their height). A very nice set. This enormous hieroglyphic dictionary with the corresponding set of citations and hieroglyphic examples cited was the greatest work produced by Erman and Grapow. It is still a most important reference. Uncommon in complete sets.
