Journalists have their trusted sources. Writers of storybooks draw unconsciously from the works of their predecessors. It is as if every story has within it an infallible truth, contained in the echo of its original telling. The storyteller recounts the tale. The listener hears, learns and remembers. In due course they will retell the same tale, adding in something of their own. And so listeners in time turn into storytellers. This inspiring book brings together the stories from across the world of listeners who themselves became storytellers. They reveal who influenced them the most, what drew them further in, what they learnt, and what they now wish to share with new generations. Tips, tools and tales: read this book, and take your turn.

Erstausgabe
Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. First Edition. 1st printings. Gilt-stamped 4to green hardbound. 863pp. Illus. Endpaper maps. Vol. 1 is General and historical, with vintage photos. Vol. 2 is family histories. Of particular note is that the late John Green, one of the outstanding pioneers of Bigfoot - Sasquatch research, is included in these volumes. Vol 2 features a full two pages written by John about he and his beloved wife, June. It includes some Bigfoot history involving his early days in the research, as well as reference to his early publishing on the subject. Vol 1 has 16 listings of Green in the index, one of them being a two page essay he wrote on the Lions' Club. To collectors in particular of John Green material, this set is almost completely unknown and overlooked. A must acquisition for Green collectors. Of course, the set is very valuable for anyone interested in the Harrison area, which has long been associated with Sasquatch. Copies are very hard to find now. These copies fine, and they were issued without dust jackets. Shipping for two large volumes will be extra in some cases. Included with your purchase will be my finely printed black and white portrait of Green taken when I visited him in 2012 and which has been included in my book, ROGER PATTERSON'S SNOWMAN BOOK THE SECOND EDITION.
