Zustand: Very Good. 1992 first edition Tri-City Record / North Berrien Historical Society (Coloma, Michigan), 8 1/4 x 10 3/4 inches tall paperbound in red covers, silver design and lettering to front cover and spine, copiously illustrated with black-and-white photographs, [3], 255 pp. Very slight rubbing and edgewear to covers. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce local history and area founding family history. [d3] ~K~ [2.0P] A history of the families who founded and built the area known as 'North Berrien,' the northern section of Berrien County, Michigan, which includes Hagar, Coloma, Watervliet, and Bainbridge townships, the cities of Coloma and Watervliet, and the towns of Millburg, Riverside, and Lake Michigan Beach. Paw Paw Lake, southwest Michigan's largest inland lake is also located in North Berrien. Located in southwest Michigan just north of Indiana, Berrien County (as one of Michigan's 'cabinet counties') was named for John M. Berrien of Georgia, U.S. Attorney General under U.S. President Andrew Jackson (1829-1831). The county was founded in 1829 and organized in 1831.
