Fair condition paperback pictorial cover, no DJ. 281 pages a well used book, cover is a little scruffy and pages turning up a little at the bottom right hand corner. All pages are clean and print clear. Previous owner written name on fly sheet, no foxing. Introduction by Norman Nicholson.

Dustjacket has little wear inside protective polythene sleeve, not price-clipped. Hardback binding has little wear, edges a little age-yellowed o/w pages clean and sound.

Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean.

Decorative Boards. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. First Edition. The decorative boards have slight browning to the edges and light bumping to the rear corners. Browning and scattered spotting to the tops of the page edges with a few spots to the fore edges. Slight browning to the endpapers. The pages are otherwise clean and unmarked. The jacket has slight browning to the spine and some light edge rubbing. First printing.

Zustand: Good. 1965 fourth printing. No jacket. Edgeworn hardcover with scuffs & bumped corners. Pen marks on pastedowns, endpaper & title page. Ffep removed. Light tanning to textblock. Content is in very good, clean condition.
