Exterior shows some wrinkling to the cloth and the leather is quite worn, particularly around the spine which is also cracked at the hinge area for the front board. The internal binding is overall good, except for the front marbled end page which is detached and also has a corner missing. The book contains 12 months of the magazine Scattered Seeds, volume XV, number 1-12 for the year 1883. Each of the 12 magazines still show folds from when they were mailed and the original owners name is lightly penciled on each monthly publication, mostly on the last page. There is spotting and foxing present and a few pages also have missing corners (see photo). The only reason for the low condition grade of fair is because of the detached front end page.
