First edition large folio (17"x10½") in a fine half vellum leather binding with the crest of Baron Sherborne and marbled endpapers. It has and engraved half title + viii + 236 pages; a plan + 19 further plates. The binding has some light wear only an d is tight and bright. The pastedown has the bookplate of Sherborne library. The half title has some foxing and a loss and has been relaid. There is some very light foxing and some slight browning in places in the text and some foxing to the plates.
