Near the front is a large, full colour diagram of a typical fly, naming its many component parts and their tying sequence. Most of the flies illustrated were first tied in the late 1800s or early 1900s. 200 pages including bibliography, suppliers of materials and index, illustrated throughout, mainly in colour. red hard covers, with gilt front titles and large gilt fly plus gilt spine titles are VG+ with unobtrusive small impression lower front edge and three small dents to front board, ink gift inscription top edge front pastedown, otherwise internally excellent.
