The book is in Very Good condition and was issued without a dust jacket. The spine ends and corners of the book covers have some light bumping and rubbing. The text pages are clean and bright. There are a couple of penciled notes on the inside front cover of the book. "Wendelin Seng, the founder of Seng Company, left Bremen in 1856 at the age of 27. Following his involvement in various other businesses in the Chicago area, Wendelin began making upholstered furniture. This line of work led him to open a metal parts company which would become Seng Company in 1874.
