anticat16 (illustrator). [London? : 1688]. Broadside, a single sheet measuring 7 x 13 inches. Old backing paper along one edge, chipping at edges, very good. Lacking an inch or so from the upper edge, so lacking the first five words of the title: "Prince George's Letter to the". Text begins with "KING" (beginning of the title has been added in pencil). Harvard College Library stamp on the verso, dated 1914; Harvard College Library "Released" stamp on verso as well. Beneath the Harvard stamp is the name "E.L. Gay" in pencil, suggesting that this came from the collection donated by Gay to Harvard. Bibliotheca Lindesiana: Catalogue of English Broadsides 1505 - 1897, item 455, saying: "The first letter from Prince George of Denmark, addressed to his father-in-law James II., assures the King of his devotion to the Reformed religion . The second letter from Lord Churchill to the King is very much in the same tenour".
