Caricature-cartoon style map so no scale given as the intention of the map's graphic design is not geographical navigation but rather a kitschy representation of the city's economic vibrance. Numerous local companies are denoted by their logos or simple banner labels and/or simplistic images of their buildings. Insert maps for Verona and Plantersville at lower left and right respectively. Slight toning and soiling else near fine condition. Arnold & Goodwin Enterprises produced similar-themed maps for other north Mississippi towns from 1971 to 1973. The Library of Congress holds maps for Aberdeen, Houston, Tupelo, and Ripley whereas this bookseller has previously had Arnold & Goodwin maps for Starkville and Meridian.
