Postcards. Zustand: Near Fine. Three c. 1940's hand-colored, gelatin silver prints on postally unused postcard stock, all of Kelowna, BC. One view shows Orchards in the Glenmore District, another The Park and the third view shows the City Park in Kelowna. Cards with only slightest wear, else fine. A nice group of hand-colored Kelowna images.

All three cards w. undivided backs, one is hand-colored and credited "Gowen, Sutton Co. Ltd." verso, the two uncolored prints are not credited. All measuring 3-1/2 inches tall x 5-1/2 inches wide and individually titled in negative "South Okanagan Orchards", "South Okanagan Valley, B.C. Canada" with the hand-colored card titled in negative "On the Okanagan, Cariboo Trail / The Overhanging Rock - Vaseaux Lake near Oliver B.C." and also in lower left "All rights reserved / Gowen, Sutton Co. Ltd. / Vancouver, BC". All three cards are fine and unmarked. Uncommon, early images of the Okanagan Valley.

Canada" and "On the Okanagan, Cariboo Trail / Flower Gardens at the Dominion / Experimental Farm. Summerland, B.C.". All three cards are fine and unmarked. Postcard. Zustand: Fine. Three postally unused c. 1930's gelatin silver prints of Princeton, B.C. with two offering interesting aerial birds-eye views of the downtown area and one a view of Tulameen River. All three cards w. undivided backs and credited "Gowen, Sutton Co. Ltd." verso, all measuring 3-1/2 inches tall x 5-1/2 inches wide (n.b. 2 prints are 5-3/8 inches wide) and individually titled in negative "Bridge Street, Princeton, B.C." , "Tulameen River, Princeton, B.C." and "Princeton, B.C." One card w. light soil verso, else all cards fine and unmarked. Uncommon, early images of Princeton, B.C. with one bird's-eye view having been taken in Winter with snow on the surrounding hills and the other bird's-eye view being taken in Summer, showing low water on the Tulameen River, the Merritt-Princeton Highway bridge over the Tulemeen River, many vehicles of the day and various business signage clearly visible along the main street.
RPPC. Zustand: Fine. Three c. 1920s postally unused RPPCs of the Kettle Valley Railway by Gowen Sutton Ltd. One is sepia toned and has "Canyon Creek Trestle" written in negative near the lower edge, the other two are hand-colored B&W cards w. "Canyon Creek Trestle #2." and "Along the Kettle Valley Railway #5." in decal negative. The #5 card has a faint crease near lower right corner and the sepia card is somewhat toned, else cards are Fine. It is interesting to note that in the Canyon Creek Trestle cards, a gent can be seen on the bridge, seemingly playing "Chicken" with approaching CPR steam engine No. 3269.
