Wraps. Zustand: Very Good Minus. Original Corso poem, or sketch for poem, about death, which is the orverarching them of the collection of Corso's poems. The original piece is written in ink on rear cover, continuing onto the last non-paginated page. This poem is scribbled in not the neatest hand, written upside down on the last leaf, and both rightside up and sideways on the rear cover, but it is unquestionably in Corso's hand, with what strikes us as true Beat imagery. As to the booklet, 8vo, 21 by 13.5 cm. [2], 34, [2] pp. The brochure itself proves Corso to have been a better poet than artist, even if his line drawings have a superficial similarity to those of say, a Shel Silverstein. The better artwork in the brochure, including the cover image, were done by others. Besides Corso's poetry and artwork, the brochure includes several photos of Corso and an interview with him. The brochure is, we believe, uncommon in commerce, as there are no listed copies of it on the date of our cataloguing. But it is the inked piece by Corso that is the more interesting element here in any case. Cover with a fair amount of soiling, staining. Otherwise, clean and bright.
