This book recounts the gripping tales of those who survived the infamous attack on Fort Griswold and the burning of New London during the Revolutionary War. The author, himself a soldier at the fort, gives harrowing first-hand accounts of these pivotal events. Beyond a chronicle of war, this book delves into the personal stories of bravery, sacrifice, and resilience in the face of unimaginable horrors. Through these narratives, the book paints a vivid picture of the human toll of war and illuminates the indomitable spirit of those who fought for American independence. The insights offered in this poignant historical account will linger long after the final page is turned, leaving readers with a profound appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who came before us. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
