This issue of Uj Holgyfutar (New Ladies' Messenger) was banned on account of its satirical cover. Csaba Pakozdy writing on the relationship between judgments of the European Court of Human Rights on censorship and the national law in Hungary [Miskole Journal of International Law, Vol. 3, No. 3, 2006, pp. 73-84] refers to the case: "In November 1991, the Capital Court took a decision in the case of the periodical entitled Uj Holgyfutar in which it prohibited, after the suspension of the publication by the prosecutor general's office, the public publication of the leap number of 1990/1991 of the said periodical with reference to the offense of morals. The illustration of the cover page of the periodical represented the Hungarian Saint Crown in the company of obscene figures what [which] the Capital Court of first instance found offensive to morals.According to the court, the representation of nudity on the cover page.offended morals and 'the taste, prudency and moral sense of those people who bow their head in front of a church, make the sign of the cross in front of a crucifix, and who do this and did this in every social system whether it is a dictatorship or a democracy'."The editor of the magazine, Endre Szkarosi was born in Budapest in 1952. I contributi dal contenuto rivoluzionario e argutamente sovversivo vanno dalla chiamata alle armi da parte dell'organizzazione giovanile socialista W.E.B. "Take Care of the World" di DuBois Clubs e Oyvind Fahlström, al "Lettuce Manifesto" di Al Hansen ("La lattuga riporta l'arte nella vita .") o al programma di Nam June Paik per un'utopica stazione televisiva. Pubblicato da Something Else Press tra il 1965 e il 1967, la serie di opuscoli Great Bear fu concepita dal fondatore Dick Higgins come "la chiave a disposizione di un povero uomo per la nuova arte", ovvero un mezzo per avvicinare i lavori più importante del tempo a un pubblico ampio, e viceversa. La serie rese lavori eccezionalmente radicali accessibili al grande pubblico, grazie a pubblicazioni snelle  dal design essenziale stile-pamphlets. Considerati nel loro insieme, gli opuscoli costituiscono un esempio di primo piano dell'avanguardia anni Sessanta (Higgins, Barbara Moore ed Emmett Williams contribuirono tutti al processo editoriale) che fu al tempo stesso radicale e assolutamente unica, trasmettendo la fiducia  in possibilità innumerevoli ed estesissime in arte, musica e poesia.
