The acket has water damage (rippling) at the same spot on the front panel). a trace of edgewear, but no tears or creases. Now in a DJ protector. Quite useabel as a reading copy. Collection of papers presented at a seminar of the same name, held at UNM in Nov 1967.

Illustrated with black/white photographs. History of this Missouri county a bit northwest of Springfield beginning with the earliest settlers in 1832. Previous owner name at front and indicating where he is mentioned in this book. Book with light wear; slight cock to the right. VERY GOOD.

Spine of book is a little cocked; owner's bookplate on front endpaper, and stamp on endpapers and elsewhere. Attached at the rear endpaper are four letters, three from the owner to the author, and one from the author concerning this book and another book he wrote. The owner has taped a couple of photos to page 63 that show similar scenes to the ones in the book, and has taped a newspaper article at page 233. There are a few underlinings throughout the book, but in all, the book is tight and clean. A total of 600 pages with much local history and information.
