This was selected as 1 of the 50 books of the year 1969 by the American Institute of Graphic Art. With 14 colour plates. A 2nd printing from the original plates (this is the 1st British printing of the book), a paperback in fine condition.

This copy comes with a nice association with the Mikolowskis, who for over 40 years published letterpress mail-art and broadsides as the Alternative Press. Quarto. Proof and association copy, insribed by Waldrop at colophon, for Ken and Ann Mikolowski of Ann Arbor's Alternative Press (noting this as an "unbound and / somewhat defective proof / copy," not included in the edition of 100 copies). Light bumps to corners of envelope. Sheets bright, crisp, clean throughout. Signed.
