This book is pure, irreverent Monty Python, crazy beyond belief. An extension of their show. The title page is buried in the middle of the book. They wrote their own reviews Here is Monty Python s eagerly awaited second book. In it the themes and patterns of the first book are stated and re-stated, but with a new and perceptive dramatic intensity which is really triffic, absolutely triffic. And the terffic thing about it is it s so triffically good. On the first free endpaper is glued in a library withdrawal listing of people who have taken this book out see the photo. During the first part of the book they keep referring to Page 71, as if there is something incredibly important there look at the photo. This book has no surprises if you are a Python fan like me. This large format book is in near-fine condition in a very-good dust jacket that is now enclosed in a protective mylar wrap.

BOTH VOLUMES SIGNED BY ERIC IDLE. Slipcase rubbed and lightly soiled; sunned at top panel and along spine with shallow overlap into side panels; strong shelf scuffing to bottom panel with lighter scuffs near side panel edges; circular silver and black "Autographed Copy" sticker affixed to left side panel; seams are firm. Both paperback volumes' covers are nice and bright; minor scuffing at Volume Two's spine head. Eric Idle's black ink signature on half-title page of each volume. Interior leaves are bright and clean. Accompanied by a letter of provenance and a special Eric Idle library bookmark. Very good in a very good dust jacket with some small chips and tears. Eric Idle co-wrote the screenplay for Monty Python and the Holy Grail and appeared in multiple roles in the film including as Sir Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave-as-Sir Launcelot, and Knight of Camelot . The film is a comic pastiche of early English history with Graham Chapman starring as King Arthur. The film takes off wildly on Arthurian legend and Tudor history which is covered in this large 758 page book.

Draft script for the 1983 British comedy film. Noted as copy No. 58 in manuscript ink on the title page. Bound in with the script are ten pages of Xerographically duplicated storyboards for the short film-within-the-film, "The Crimson Permanent Assurance." The final Monty Python film to star actor and writer Graham Chapman, before his death in 1989, and a return to the sketch comedy format which characterized the group's earlier television series. Shot on location in Queensway, Strathblane, and Lancashire, England. Red untitled wrappers with a die-cut title window in the British style. Title page present, dated March, 1982. 115 leaves, with last page of text numbered 115. Mimeograph duplication on eye-rest green stock, rectos only, with five pink revision pages laid in at the rear of the script, dated 26/5/82. Pages Very Good plus, wrapper Very Good plus, with light foxing throughout, bound internally with two silver brads.
