Text blocks' top edges darkened; some foxing to toned fore-edges and bottom edges. Each volume with personal bookplate of presumed secondary owner British collector C.W. Christie-Miller [Charles Wakefield Christie-Miller] on their respective front pastedowns ; bookplate illustrated with statue/fountain of child holding fish with foreground of flowers and 1911 date along with small compass diagram at bottom center with latter also serving as an artist monogram for Joseph Walter West, a noted British bookplate designer who donated a large collection of his work to The British Museum in 1908. Ink ownership inscriptions of set's first owner (presumed by date) "G.D. Chapman. | [illegible-address?] | 1900." on each volume's half-title. Interior foxing generally strongest on several initial and rear leaves with other occurrences mostly at plates; interior leaves mostly remain clean.
