In addition to the frontispiece portrait, there are engraved illlustrations at the beginning of each of the twelve books, all of which are present. 4" by 7" hardcover. 324 pages. I am selling this as a re-binder as, although the text-block is clean and tight, there has been an eccentric bit of amateur restoration.The front board is detached, the rear hinge is cracked, The spine is extremely worn. The boards and spine have been covered in a black patterned cloth with plain black leather corners. I assume that the original boards are underneath the later cloth. So, we have fairly decent innards with eccentric and ugly cloth covers. The pages are all 'age-toned' with a little actual foxing. No insc. An oddity. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
