Includes 13 full-page plates, some as fold-outs, and a copper-engraved frontispiece of Julius Caesar by Van Howe. (ESTC R16632) (Wing C199, C200) (Cockle 71). This piece, originally published in Latin in 1469, combines stories of Caesar's wars with the Celtic and German peoples in Gaul, and Caesar's war against Gnaeus Pompeius and the Roman Senate.
