This is a rewritten edition of a work first published in 1929 - 'Camp Cookery for Boy Scouts and Others. Here Kenneth Sparrow has added a section concerning the biology of food, information which will be useful for a number of Scout badge tests as well as being of general interest. The book is bound in paperback form with card covers and is in very good condition with some expected signs of age for a 60 year old paperback. The covers have shelf wear with some staining and soiling and some browning around the edges. There is some water staining on the spine that extends up to about 1" to 2" on the rear cover. The spine enbds are rubbed and there is some damage and a little loss to the paper covering the top 1/4" of the spine. The contents are secure and clean with no inscription although the pages are age-browned. There is a small water stain near the middle of the fore edge of the first half-dozen or so pages.
