During the early seventies there was an explosion of regional publishing throughout the northwest -- much of it environmental, small press literary, alternative and radical -- but there was no single source of information for writers who wanted to take advantage of these markets. What we put together was a kind of Whole Earth Catalogue for northwest writers. It was a modest bestseller and went through several editions.
