In this work, the author examines the ideal of an Afrikaner homeland as envisaged by a group calling itself the Afrikaner Freedom Foundation (AVSTIG). "Hierdie studie oor die aanloop tot, stigting en volkstaatideaal van die Afrikanervryheidstigting (AVSTIG), handel oor 'n groep aan die regterkant van die politieke spektrum wat eerder 'n kleiner staat vir die Afrikanervolk wil hê as om in 'n Suid-Afrikaanse eenheidstaat wat uit verskillende bevolkingsgroepe saamgestel is, te bly woon. Dit was egter nie net AVSTIG wat 'n volkstaat bepleit het nie, maar ook organisasies soos die Afrikanerweerstandbeweging, (AWB), die Boerestaat Party (BSP) en andere.".
