(xxii) + 424pp. Spine faded, lightly rubbed at ends and with title label apparently 'refreshed' with gold and black pens; inner hinges repaired in a couple of places with white adhesive tape; a little minor foxing on endpapers and first and last few leaves; internal text clean and bright throughout. First Reprinted edition hard back binding in publisher's original ruby red cloth covers, gilt title and author lettering to the spine. 8vo. 7½'' x 5¼''. Contains [xiv] 377 printed pages of text. Shallow rubs to the softened spine ends and corners, ghosting to the end papers and in Very Good condition, no dust wrapper. Member of the P.B.F.A. ENGLISH LITERATURE.

The copy offered by us is a 1903 reprint in a school prize binding with the crest of Haileybury College to front panel. VG ( Light shelf rubbing to extremities with minor scuffs. College prize book plate to front paste down. Light foxing to end blanks.
