Icons of Valamo monastery give a good indication of the iconographic tradition of the Orthodox church in Finland. The icons in the exhibition represent both chronologically and stylistically the iconographic tradition of Valamo and of Finland from the beginning of the 18th century to the 20th century. This iconographic tradition parellels the development of the Russian tradtition.

The goal of this study is to produce an overview of ancient terracotta figurines in Finland, and make them accessible to those interested in classical archaeology and ancient culture. The methods utilized in this study were as follows. After locating the terracottas and recording the appropriate data for each piece, the diverse body of material was classified by subject, without making a division by possible geographical area of origin. Catalogue entries are confined to technical information and lists of closely related types. At least one photo is provided for each item. The second section of this study deals with the collectors. A short biography is provided for each of them.
