Bound in publisher's cloth-backed illustrated boards secured with ribbon ties. And titles present to the front board. Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks. Binding tight and solid. This fantastic children's picture 'ABC' book is a great example of fine woodblock printing execution by Frederic Lewin. Lewin was a frequent contributor to 'Punch' and this is one of two known works done by Lewin specifically for a youthful audience. Lewin's 'Characters from Dickens' appeared in 1912.
