No Binding. Zustand: Very Good. This is a splendid opportunity to purchase a charming portrait of an eccentric personage. Mr Lovat was for many years a most ordinary character yet in the years before his crucification he took to amputating various parts of his personage and throwing them from his window. On the 19th of July 1805 he crucified himself at the age of 46, he did not die immediately but the following year passed away. When asked about the motives for his bizarre act he replied 'The pride of man must be mortified, it must expire on the cross'.
