In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Alphonsus made interventions in the landscape (with echoes of Richard Long's work); his most well-known work is Tunnel(69), in which he documented the events inside a Rio de Janeiro tunnel. Bares Cariocas is Alphonsus's only artist book, printed only in one edition. Condition: some general wear marks and foxing to covers, light foxing inside, apart from one spread of two pages that has some heavier foxing, no tears or major bumps. Overall vey good.…
