While on this ranch he improved his cowboy skills and he also improved his life skills - a bit. For example in the story, HOW TO GET ALONG WITH YOUR BOSS, he discovered one should not laugh out loud at your boss when he hurts himself. That happened twice. In the story THE NIGHT OF THE COUGAR he had some mischievous thoughts come into his mind only to have them backfire and cause trouble. Then in the story, MEMORIES I COULD DO WITHOUT, he experienced terror like few men will ever eperience in a horse-drawn sleigh. You will find yourself reading theses stories over and over!
