The article discusses her alleged use of regurgitation, and includes two photos of the medium during a séance. Also included is poetry by Louis MacNeice, Stephen Spender, etc. GOOD condition. General fading, minor to moderate soiling and toning to the wrappers. Several black smudges/stains present to the front cover, with heavy offsetting along the extremities. Minor curling and creasing along the edges.

Some marks to the covers commensurate with age and handling, but the covers are exceptionally clean. Staples rusted as usual. Internally also very good. Pages clean without any of the usual foxing. No tears. Would be described as near fine except for some bumping to the top corners of the covers and page block. There is also some offsetting to the first printed page (inside front cover) where a newspaper article seems to have been placed (since removed). It Was Printed By Warren & Son, Winchester, But No Limitation Statement Or Price. The Compiler And Editor, Dorothy (Field) Dudley Short, Was The Author Of Children's Books And Books And Chapters Of Books On Sikhism, Reviews, Etc. She Was The Wife Of Caricaturist Norman Dudley Short. An Unused Example, One Of The Editor's Personal Copies.

Edges of covers slightly creased and rubbed, with a surface crease across the top corner and a smaller surface crease across the bottom corner of the front cover, and a slight bump to the tail of the spine. The white back cover is surprisingly clean, with just some light marks caused by handling over the years (please see scans). Internally the pages are beautifully clean and unmarked, without any of the usual foxing. The top corner of the first few pages is lightly creased. No tears.
