Buch Erstausgabe
Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. 1st Edition. First Edition (NAP). Rare hardcover. As you can see, the covers are perfectly clean and have very little wear, a light bump/crease at the front and rear top corner, a few light creases adjacent to the spine on the front and rear. The covers bow out a little, but the book is very solidly bound from cover to cover, nicely tight pages, no binding issues. The book is nicely square, the spine is not slanted at all. The inside covers and end papers form an interesting illustration on a yellow background. They are all perfectly clean. A small area just off the top edge of the rear inside cover is a little bit puffy, no tears or anything like that, nothing much of anything. The pages are in excellent condition. The illustrations look terrific. The colors are vibrant. There's no soiling of any kind on any of the pages. There is very light toning at the margins. The only page imperfection is likely the result of a bump to the rear side of the spine just above the bottom edge. It didn't much affect the cover but it created a slight and small indent just off the bottom edge of the pages on both sides of the gutter. It's only 1/2 " in total across and 1/4 " up. It doesn't affect the binding and it's obviously very far from the print and illustrations. There are no markings anywhere in the book. There are no attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. I've had the large dust jacket in a fitted protective cover for as long as I've owned the book which goes back a good number of years. There is a thin 1 inch (exactly) tear off the bottom edge of the front. It's just to the right of the 'O' in FAZZINO, and then goes downward to the bottom edge. Looks more like a scratch, quite inconspicuous. There are no other tears. I tried to angle the photos to eliminate the white glare from the protective cover with very limited success. Please ignore it. There are a few edge nicks. And just like with the book there are couple of creases off the bottom edge just adjacent to the spine. The jacket is exceptionally clean. I'm not seeing any soiling. The corners look great. At the top edge of the spine the thinnest bit of the blue has just very slightly lifted up so I can see a tiny bit of white. The flaps are in excellent condition, very clean. The jacket isn't priced. Nor is it clipped. 'Charles Fazzino is an American pop artist, known for his silkscreen serigraphs in a 3D pop art style. His artwork incorporates influence from urban landscapes, sporting events, and modern celebrities. As described in the book about Fazzino titled The Master of 3-D Pop Art, "An innovative and imaginative storyteller, Charles Fazzino serves of a bevy of details in his unique three-dimensional creations. His collectors marvel as much at his ability to capture the entire essence of his subject matter in one statement, as they do at his use of vibrant colors, his whimsical sense of humor, and his hand-assembled multi-layered artistic style. Although, the snappy titled often gives a clue to the content of each painting, it can take years of careful observation to discern all of the details in a single Fazzino image. One of Fazzino's greatest joys is to observe visitors at exhibition of his work. 'I love to watch the smiles form as people begin to recognize elements of my paintings, comments Fazzino. 'They point at the images as if inserting themselves into the stories. I watch that and I'm reminded of why i paint. It's all about celebrating the joy and fun we have as human beings on this planet." From the dust jacket: 'Charles Fazzino is the most popular 3-D artist in the world today. His artwork can be found in the private collections of Rosie O'Donnell, Michael Eisner, Bill and Hillary Clinton, George Bush, Paul McCartney, Morgan Freeman, Michael Jackson, Roger Clemens, Tina Turner, and Julia Roberts.'.
