In den WarenkorbSoft cover. Zustand: Very Good. The Rip Off Review of Western Culture, V1, #3, November-December 1972. A magazine and comic book mix, the artists, writers, and photographers contributed wildly divergent styles and stories to the magazine. That unpredictability was the publication's strength: readers never knew what they'd find o…n the next page. This issue includes coverage of the 2ND FIRST ANNUAL ARMADILLO CONFAB & EXPOSITION and a rambling interview with S. CLAY WILSON, one of the best, albeit vaguely deranged, comic artists of the time. The magazine was distributed through various underground outlets, and the strength of the Rip Off Press catalog propelled the magazine's sales. Sadly, this was the last issue. -- CONDITION: Good/Very Good. Pages are clean, middle section on tanned newsprint, cover good/acceptable w/ moderate dirt and handling, back has rubbing at edge, front lightly scribbled on, some fool filled in the crossword.

In den WarenkorbSoft cover. Zustand: Very Good. The Rip Off Review of Western Culture, V1, #2, August - September 1972. A magazine and comic book mix, the artists, writers, and photographers contributed wildly divergent styles and stories to the magazine. That unpredictability was the publication's strength: readers never knew what they'd find…on the next page. This issue includes a visit to the set of DIME BOX, a western starring Dennis Hopper filming in Mexico [supplying a reason why the film isn't even listed in IMDB]. Also included is one of the best one-off comics: JESUS GOES TO A FACULTY PARTY, a fairly accurate rendering of a mid-century-modern college faculty party: think "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf" with a cast of hundreds. -- CONDITION: Very Good/Fine. Pages are clean, middle section has tanned newsprint, cover shows light handling and dirt.
