Erstausgabe
Pair of letters originally published in the New York Herald of August 12, 1876 discussing the upcoming Presidential election. Mosby had been a legendary Confederate partisan ranger and Tyler--son of US President John Tyler--had been a colonel in the Confederate Army. Both former Confederates here support the Republican candidate, Rutherford B. Hayes, and give their reasons. Interesting perspectives on support of the Republican candidate, coming from former Confederate soldiers just 11 years after the Civil War ended. Scarce pamphlet, with just 10 copies in OCLC. A few faint spots of foxing but overall fine. This 8 page pamphlet is still a single sheet, folded octavo but never bound. Single sheet, folded. Untrimmed and uncut. Octavo. 8 pages.
