Pictorial Cover. Zustand: Good. Frances Brundage and M. Bowley (illustrator). No date of publication is given; ca. 1900. Ten color plates. B/W illustrations are the head of each chapter and in-text. The spine strip has faded, is a little wrinkled, and the bottom edge is a little frayed. The boards' corners and part of the bottom edges are bare of paper. The back board has light, shelf wear soiling and has a 1 1/4 in. are that has darkened a little. Four of the plates have scrapes on the illustrations, from pinpoint size to a linear 1/2 in. The non-print side of six plates have scrapes. Scans e-mailed upon request.

Bowley, 10 full-page color chromo-lithographic plates by by Frances Brundage, 7.5"x 10", hardcover, green cloth covers, beveled edges, gilt titles on spine and front cover with lovely gilt illustrated roses on front, corners worn, spine ends rounded with short tears and a little fraying, slight scuffing on front, a 3/4" scrape bottom back cover, all edges gilt, gold patterned endpapers, hinges cracked but holding well, first and last few pages darkened, hinge next to half-title page has been reinforced with rice paper tape, one color plate present but loose with chipping and a little soil around edges though the image is okay, one other plate is attached (rice paper tape on back) and has considerable chipping along fore-edge but the image itself is in good shape, the other 8 plates are all still attached and are in very good condition, despite interior hinges being cracked they are all holding well and the contents is clean, book good (G) 5644 [(s)0423JB].
