Nyogen Senzaki (?? ??, 1876-1958) was a Rinzai Zen monk who was one of the 20th century's leading proponents of Zen Buddhism in the United States. There are a few corrections of spellings in the text in black ink< perhaps by Senzaki. There are two slips of paper laid in. One is a 5 line japanese poem, and the other is an english translation of same. Both in black ink. Signed by Author.
