Issued without a dust jacket. -- This multilingual festschrift honours Emmanouil (Manolis) Korres, the distinguished Greek architect-engineer who served as chief architect of the Acropolis Restoration Project and holds a professorship at the National Technical University of Athens. Korres's work on the Parthenon and other Acropolis monuments combined meticulous architectural research with practical conservation, earning him the Feltrinelli International Prize in 2013 as the first Greek recipient of that honour. The book assembles contributions from leading scholars in Classical archaeology, architectural history and conservation science.
