Cecelia Holland (b. 1943) has written, to date, over twenty historical novels which span both the globe and time. This work, "Valley of the Kings", was originally published under Holland's pseudonym of "Elizabeth Eliot Carter" in 1977. It relates the story of Tutankhamun along two separate timelines: the first during his last years and death, the second follows the search for his tomb by archaeologist Howard Carter.
