Hardcover: H 19.75cm x L 12.5cm. Original full leather binding; strong scuffing/rubbing to boards, rear board's top corner worn, spine decorated with five raised bands with abutting horizontal gilt bars which are mostly flaked away, spine's second compartment has brown title label with bright gilt title lettering and border but with slender fractional loss at bottom border, dulled gilt stamped "3" in spine's third compartment, some scuffing at spine ends. A few rear leaves have some abrasion at fore-edges; staining and toning to endpapers; past bookseller's modern ballpoint ink price at front free endpaper's top right corner; antiquarian ink owner signature on rear pastedown; some toning and occasional foxing spots to interior leaves. Binding remains quite firm. Original green cloth page marker bound-in between pages 260-261. B. Dod [Benjamin Dod] printer/publisher advertisement on verso of page 481. A very good- antiquarian copy.
