Hardcover. Zustand: Near fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: very good. Second printing. Octavo, 314pp., illustrated. A crisp, clean copy, near fine, in the publisher's blue cloth. Heavy page block sags a bit, but the inner hinges are strong. Spine gently cocked. In a very good dust jacket, gently toned along the extremities, with some minor nicks. This copy SIGNED by Casals and dated by him ("May '73," just five months before his death) on what looks to be a publisher's tipped-in leaf. Most copies we've encountered described as "signed" are signed by Kahn, not Casals, whcih makes sense, as the book was published just three years before Casals' death at age 96. Scarce and desirable thus. Laid-in is a photographic print depicting Casals, who appears to be the subject of an interview, with a reporter and two other people wielding cameras. No context for this photograph is provided.
