Text-block edges are toned, else clean. BINDING --Still fairly tight. INTERIOR -- Next to four names in the list of the Board of Councilors are penciled the word "Dead", else I saw no other marking or writing in the book. The leaves closest to the rear cover are quite ragged at the corners; many of the book's leaves have bumped corners, with a few displaying accompanying creasing or dog - ears. The text throughout is clean, and the photographs display cleanly.

Illustrated with photos. Also contains 17 color illustrations by Maxfield Parrish for Wagner's THE RING OF THE NIBELUNG as well as early works by Edith Wharton, Howard Chandler Christy, Charles Dana Gibson, Henry Cabot Lodge, Kenneth Grahame, Sarah Jewett, et.al.

Hardcover. This is a collection of 100 prints by various American artists of the day. A mix of color and B&W. The pages/prints measue ~11-3/4" x 16-1/2". The title page & publishing info is missing, but published by Colliers, circa 1910's. The binding is in Poor condition, but the prints are mostly VG. Ex-Library copy; the only marking being a pocket on the inner rear board, and an inkstamp in the very top margin of one Stanslaw print. This print (the 1st in the binding) also has some surface rubbing, and is pulled through the binding pins. Two of the Remington prints have vertical creases. The images of all the other prints are clean. The prints have some bumping/rubbing at the edges, and a few have short tears at the edges (in the outer margins only). ~10 prints have an inkstain in the outer bottom margin; only one of which extend beyond ~1/4 from the edge. The front board is detached; it is present, but missing the strip along the spine. The boards are worn, but have largely protected the prints. The artists included are as follows: A. B.
