Unpaginated, with profuse black-and-white photographs, Introduction by Lamar Dodd, & Commentaries by the artist . One of only 2,500 copies printed in the winter of 1945, this hardcover small 4to has beige cloth-covered boards stamped & lettered in red to front & spine. Condition is VG+: very clean, binding strong & straight, hinges secure, pages lightly tanned but completely unmarked save for very shallow & mild dampstain to outer top edges, a bit deeper to the last couple of pages & rear endpapers. Mild rubbing to extremities & bumping to both ends of spine & all corners with a barely perceptible dampstain to some parts of lower edges, does not bleed inside here. The price-clipped DJ is Vspine. Small quarto. 7.75 x 10.25 in. 178 pp. Good in the original beige cloth with red block titling and a very good illustrated dust jacket that has water droplet stains on the front cover, but otherwise remains in sound shape. Signed by Charlot in black ink on the second page. Prior owner Hubert Owens' name appears on the interior front cover. Owens was founding professor of the Landscape Architecture program at the University of Georgia.

From plate 127 to the end there is some rippling on the pages. DJ is brown paper with red print, water staining along top and bottom edges of front DJ, wear at spine ends, rubbing along folds.
