Four volumes. Different frontispiece portrait in each volume, one in color. Plates. Gilt pictorial cloth. Spines slightly sunned, very faint edgewear. A fine, partially unopened and wholly untrimmed set. The subject was the wife of Charles Perkins, who served with the Burlington & Missouri Railroad in its formative years. The letters and journal presented here were undertaken by Mrs. Perkins after her husband's death in 1907, and contain much material on railroads, her family and their life in Iowa.
