This copy is bright, tight, white and square. The unclipped dust wrapper is in new condition. This is an excellent book, well written and will be of interest to those interested in the bigger picture of WW 2 Battle of Britain, racey and also 'fun' to read. After all, we are talking about a 20-year old enjoying and discovering life during a very fluid, difficult and disturbing time. It also shows that these young pilots were really much the same as their equivalents in the RAF! After all, boys will be boys and these are really what we are dealing with. What is interesting is the disdain for the attitude of Galland and some of the ex Legion Condor pilots for the concept of radio communications. What this does show is that the RAF were much further forward in this side of warfare, whilst the Luftwaffe heirarchy were rather stuck in the Legion Condor attitudes where they did not really want to use radio - which could be picked up and give the game away with German speech. So: for those who want a good read, buy this book! Ref A4 3.
