Zustand: Near Fine. First edition (hardback). 4to (29cm by 21cm), 128pp. Profusely illustrated (8 pages in colour). Rebound in olive green cloth, gilt titling to the spine, gilt motif to the front board, with the original card wrappers bound in at the back of the book. Light rubbing of the boards, else this book is in very good condition. Studio autumn number 1933. Based on the exhibition of illustrated books for children held at the Victoria & Albert museum in 1932.

(294x215mm), 128pp preceeded by 4pp adverts, profusely illustrated incl. 8 coloured plates, includes Greenaway, Crane, Caldecott, Doyle, Tenniel et al., previous owner's bookplate pasted to front free endpaper, endpapers sl. foxed, bound in blue cloth lettered in white, in dustwrapper torn & snagged with loss, otherwise very good condition.

Wrappers. First Edition. Illustrations in colour and black-and-white 4to Wrappers faded and chipped and worn at backstrip, but internally a nice copy Based in part on the exhibition of Illustrated Books for Children held at the Victoria and Albert Museum in 1932.
