BREVIARIUM ROMANUM - Pars Aestiva (Officia Ruraemundensis), 1957 Impossible to Find - Exceptionally Rare Diocesan Roman Breviary with Gilt Edges An exceptionally scarce and highly desirable copy of the Breviarium Romanum, Pars Aestiva (Summer Part), printed in 1957 by H. Dessain, Mechliniae (Malines/Mechelen). This edition follows the Roman Breviary restored by Pope Pius V in accordance with the decrees of the Council of Trent, subsequently revised by later pontiffs and reformed under the authority of Pope Pius X, with revisions associated with Pope Benedict XV. Of particular importance is the inclusion of the Officia Ruraemundensis, containing the proper offices of the Diocese of Roermond. Such diocesan variants were produced in relatively small numbers and are seldom encountered today, especially in this state of preservation. The volume retains its attractive gilt page edges, enhancing both its visual appeal and collectible value. Compact and intended for daily liturgical use, it remains remarkably well preserved. Condition Fine condition throughout. Binding firm and sound, pages clean and fresh, gilt edges bright and well preserved.
