I believe this novel was first published in 1922. There are a few light marks to the front and rear panels with one small puncture mark to the rear panel. The page edges are browned and there is heavy browning to the pages. There is also a little red staining to the rear pastedown and the final page but the pages are otherwise unmarked. The jacket has some chipping to the edges with a half-inch piece missing from the bottom left corner of the front panel which also has a small hole to the centre over the man's face in the illustration. Chipping with a little loss at the top and bottom of the spine. Discolouration to the rear panel with a little chipping to the bottom edge and a one inch closed tear to the bottom right corner.
