Nell`Enchiridion di J Primrose, salto di numerazione fra p. 166 e 169, senza perdita di testo. Testo in lingua latina, con alcune parole in lingua e caratteri greci; piccoli calipettera decorati a racemi e fregi tipografici silografati. Ai margini, lievemente rifilati, alcune annotazioni vergate in latino a penna da mano antica, minuscoli tratti a matita e un piccolissimo tratto a pennarello nell`ultima pubblicazione. L`opera è una pregevole miscellanea di 4 trattati medici, i primi due dei quali vennero impressi a Leida nella celebre officina degli Elzevier, il terzo ad Amsterdam e il quarto ancora a Leida da altro stampatore. Ciascuna delle 4 edizioni è quella citata come più antica nel repertorio della Wellcome Historical Medical Library. I primi due trattati, di un medico olandese, riguardano i calcoli: il primo è una dissertazione sui calcoli dei reni e della vescica, il secondo prende spunto dagli Aforismi di Ippocrate. Il terzo trattato, opera di un medico britannico, è un manuale generale di medicina. Il quattro trattato, in due parti, spetta a un filosofo e medico padovano, docente presso l`Università della sua città, e riguarda l`apparato genitale di entrambi i sessi, con loro \"stuctura, actiones et usus\"; in appendice a tale trattato sono pubblicate due dissertazioni: Gregori Nymanni dissertatio de vita foetus in utero e Adriani Spigelii Bruxellensis epistola de incerto tempore partus. Esemplare in buono stato conservativo, lievemente allentato alle cerniere; distacco di due carte: l`antiporta dell`ultimo trattato e la carta bianca che lo precede. Primroseersquo;s Enchiridion, numbering jump between p. 166 and 169, without loss. Text in Latin, with some Greek words and characters. On the margins, slightly trimmed, there are some annotations written in Latin in pen by an ancient hand. The work is a valuable miscellany of 4 medical treatises. Copy in good condition, slightly loose at the hinges; detachment of two leaves: the engraved title-page of the last treaty and the blank leaf that precedes it.
